We take this moment to publicly thank Doug Dillhoff who, for many years, has maintained our FREE search registry, keeping everything up-to-date...Here is his most recent success message received September 1, 2000:

Dear Doug,

I wanted to personally thank you for this wonderful site in which adoptee's and birth families can search for each other......

In March of this year, I registered on the free search site, in hopes of locating my birth mother......There were no matches at the time, and I was disappointed. However, on June 15 of this year, I received an email from a woman who was searching for a child she placed for adoption. On June 21, 2000, we received confirmation that she was in fact my birth mother. I never imagined in a thousand years that a simple web site could harvest such rewards. Sue and I are corresponding via email, and talking on the phone. The answer's that she has given me, have put many pieces to my puzzle in place........We are planning to meet later this month in Fresno, where I now live. She lives in Georgia. We are both very excited, and a bit nervous I must admit.....Thanks again for a great site.
