Welcome To Silveroze

Sharon Kaplan Rozsia, M.S. and Deborah N. Silverstein, M.S.W. have worked together for 20 years. They are internationally-known trainers, authors, speakers and experts in the fields of adoption, kinship and foster care.

 

Sharon has worked for both public and private agencies and spent 10 years placing special needs children into adoption. Following her work in agency settings, Sharon founded and directed one of the first private practice groups addressing the lifelong issues of adoption, Parenting Resources. She is the co-author of Cooperative Adoption (1984) and The Open Adoption Experience (1993). She has produced training videos, including "Open Adoption: The Experts Speak Out," and a multimedia package, "Winning At Adoption." Sharon is an innovative trainer and lecturer for both professionals and parent groups. She is a parent by birth, by foster care, and by adoption.

Deborah is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) and is in private practice, specializing in work with children and families touched by adoption, foster care, and trauma. She is a Certified Hypnotherapist. She also has worked in both non-profit settings as well as private practice. She is an international speaker, author, and with Sharon, produced the popular training video "The Seven Core Issues in Adoption," and "I'm Medoree," a look at international adoption. Deborah is a contributing author to a number of books and periodicals. She has adopted four special needs youngsters.
