Founder and Director:Future Families Inc., a non-profit adoption and foster care agency serving the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas.

President:California Association of Adoption Agencies, 1996-2000.

Principal:PlaceNet, a secure and confidential child and family internet matching system.

Member:Governor's Advisory Council, California Adoption Initiative.

Participant:Presidents Adoption Directive.

Member: County Welfare Directors' Association of California, Adoption Committee. 1989-present.

Legislative Chairman:California Association of Adoption Agencies. 1991-1996.

Chairman:Bay Area Supervisors' of Adoption, the central exchange for children waiting for adoption and potential families from throughout central and northern California. 1987-1995.

Treasurer:Child Abuse Prevention Council of Santa Cruz County. 1991-1995.

Co-producer, A Family Album - Stories of Adoption, a thirty minute video, Fern Tiger Associates, 1992. Winner of the InterCom Documentary Award of Merit 1992.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
Created the first regional post-adoption center in California.

Presented workshops in several states and Canada on:

• Preventing abuse in foster care and adoption,
• Assessment of family potential as adopting parents,
• Treatment Adoption - the necessary development of therapeutic foster care programs.
• Psychotherapy with Adoptive Families,
• Attachment and adoptive parenting,
• The application of Marketing Techniques to the recruitment of homes for children,
• The use of the Internet in Adoption Services.

Pioneered the use of experienced adoptive and foster parents on staff as a major part of services to adoptive families.

Pioneered the Adoption Family Treatment Model.

Administrative Law Judge (MEPA Appeal).

Drafted sections of existing Adoption legislation in California.

Expert Witness in several Superior Courts on Adoption, Foster Care and Custody issues.

Co-founder of Kinship Alliance, a national institute of adoption practitioners, authors and educators.

Consultant to agencies - marketing and adoption funding strategies.

Created the first public adoption agency website in California, and currently serve as webmaster for the California Association of Adoption Agencies site, www.california-adoption.org
