My story is something right out of the movies. And yet it is not as uncommon as you might think. I am looking for my Full-Blood Sister. Yet I don't know where I was born, who my mother or father were, when I was born, or any of the relative information on my sister. I was abandoned at age 2 and the courts and my adoptive parents, made up a name for me, a birthday, and birth city. Only a year after I was adopted the attorney who handled my case told my adoptive parents that I had a sister. 5 years older than I was. Adopted the year after I was to another American family. I have a full-blooded sister out there, living I hope, and walking the streets of America same as me, and I would love to find her. But without any information connecting us it's impossible. I have even contacted Oprah if you can believe that to help, but to no avail. Even Private Investigators wouldn't be able to help without any specific information connecting us. The only things I know, is that I was 2 in 1975 when I was adopted, and she was about 7 or 8 in 1976. That our Attorney's name was Dr. Olivar and we were both living in Quito, Ecuador at the time of our abandonment. But who knows for certain if that is where we were born. Dr. Olivar ( not even sure I am spelling it right) is deceased now, and all of his records no longer are accessible or even exist. It was early to mid 70's after all and it was in the Andes Mts. With the Amazon Jungle not far below. Records such as they were, are not kept. I do not have any money, but if anyone knows of any way to help. I am desperate and open to new ideas.

I am not an adoptee. I am an amom. I read the story and it was so beautiful. It helped me understand some of my daughter's feelings. Thank you for sharing the stories.

I am presently trying to locate my Biological family in Germany. A very sweet friend in Germany was kind enough to make this web site for me to draw attention to possible family members and friends of my mothers in Germany. She did a beautiful job. It tells the whole story. Check it out.

Smile looking for birth family

My story seems to be the typical adoption story as well: I am looking for anyone in my birth family, but also have limited information as my adoption was a "closed" adoption. Birth mom's name was Cynthia, and she was 26 years old; birth father's name was Rick (or that's what she knew him by) and he was 28. I have/had a sister that would be around 24-25 (she was 4 yrs old at the time I was placed for adoption). I was born in Tyler, Texas, and the adoption was done through Buckner Adoption & Maternal Services. I would appreciate information on how I can go about either getting more information, or how could I find any of them? That would be very helpful.

Hi,
I know that you left this post her ein Augugst of 2006 and I just read it rongiht and I do have a suggestion that might work for you. Do you know of any kind of adoption support group of any kind in Ecuador? You can find out from local newspaper and maybe old police records from Quito about news about adoptions or that doctor? I am also an adoptee and I hope that you find your family.
