This is a great article for everyone to read. It is a list of things that an adoptive parent needs from people that they come into contact with. Sometimes we don't know how to ask for what we need, but this article is a great way for us to realize what we really need from different people. As adoptive parents, it is our responsibility to advocate for our children and sometimes we have to do more aggressive advocating when our child has special needs. This is important for others to remember and know that we are not a bad parent. We are good parents that are advocating for our child.
