It is very important to evaluate your reasons for searching for your birth family. Make sure that you are going to be able to deal with the consequences of finding out. Some searches do not end like you would like. Some searches end in rejection. Make sure that you are ready to deal with that if it happens. It is very important for you to have a support system during your search. It can be an emotionally draining time with a roller coaster of emotion. Having a support group that you can turn to to "vent" will help you stay focused on your goal without creating unrealistic expectations. Support is key during this search.

Hi there. Im interested in the comments so far. My search started 8yrs ago. I found my birth parents with the result of been rejected. I have accepted there reasons why and have moved on with my life. If you are searching for answers take it one step at a time and try and prepare yourself for the worst. Time does heal. I have no regrets in finding where i came from.
