This is a great explanation for the meaning behind the homestudy process. If you will think of a homestudy as a job interview, rather than a white glove test, you may have less stress. Yes, your house should be comparatively clean, but you don't have to concentrate completely on that. As long as your home is large enough for another child, clean, and safe, then your home will pass the test. Then it is up to you to show the caseworker that you are financially, mentally, and physically sound enough to take care of a child.
