My wife and I are just starting down the path of adoption. We are looking to adopt internationally, specifically East Asia. One concern we have is assessing the reputation of particular adoption agencies. I have two questions for which I would greatly appreciate any feedback:

1) Can anyone recommend the best way to assess the reliability or reputation of a particular adoption agency?
2) Has anyone had specific experience with the "New Beginnings" adoption agency in New York?
