National Adoption Awareness Month
November is "National Adoption Awareness Month"!
What kinds of things do you do to celebrate, educate or get involved with to share your experience with others?

I have attended meetings that invited adoptive parents, adoptees, and birthparents. I am a member of this forum. Also, I help anyone that calls and ask about our adoption experience. We should have a ribbon that we could wear this month. Just a thought.

The ribbon is a great idea!!! As far as I know, there is no specified color for a ribbon or a ribbon designated for "National Adoption Awareness" month.
Maybe that's an idea....to write to organizations to encourage a ribbon. Hmmm...will have to look into that for where to write.

You would not be legally required to have an open adoption or contact with her mom after the adoption is finalized. However, since she obviously knows her mom, it can be really hard on a child to...
Adopting Great Niece
