NATIONAL ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH
Script A - 30 seconds  (read by announcer, adoption professional, or other)

November is National Adoption Awareness Month - a month to celebrate adoptive families and to remember that thousands of child still need a permanent home and loving family. If you've ever wanted to be a parent - to help children grow and develop to their fullest potential - consider adoption. Children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, are waiing for parents to make a difference in their lives. If you want to make a difference, call [phone number] or [your state/provincial social services agency] for more information.

Script B - 30 seconds  (read by child)

Hate to wait? Try waiting for something big, like parents. I want a mom to listen to me. I hope I'll get a dad who will take me to ball games. A dog would really be nice too. I want parents to take care of me. I want a mom and dad who will be there forever. Adoption. Maybe it's what you've been waiting for too. Call [phone number] for more information.

Script C - 30 seconds  (read by government official)

Hello, I'm [name, position] of [city, state/province]. This November, during National Adoption Awareness Month, take some time to think about the children in our [city/state/province] who do not have a permanent home - children in foster care who cannot return to their birth families and have not yet found adoptive families. They need families to provide loving care, support as they develop, and a home to come back to as they grow into adulthood. Children need families. Please help if you can. Call [phone number] for more information.

Script D - 30 seconds  (read by announcer, adoption professional, or other)

Foster care is supposed to be temporary. Unfortunately, as thousands of our country's children know. foster care sometimes lasts as long as childhood. Many foster children are legally free for adoption, but on average, nearly two-thirds have been in care more than two years, and only one in five will be adopted. If you believe in these children's right to a permanent loving family, call [phone number] or [your state/provincial social services agency]. Get more information on adoption and waiting children - especially now, during National Adoption Awareness Month.
