[The birthmother, Tiffany, gave title for this poem, it was written by the birth grandmother Michelle. Both who will always love you so. Written March 30th, 2001]

They call me the birthmother
I am much more than that.
I carried you for 9 months
And was your mom then
Nothing can ever change that.

I loved you from day number one
And always wanted you.
I knew this wouldn't be easy
To see you go to another mommy,
The desire was just to do best for you.

Soon you will be blessed
With not just one mommy but two
That will always hold you in their hearts
To both you are a gift from above
to always be cherished and loved.

I am not just a body
That carried you to the world today
I am a person that loves you
And will always wonder
How you are and if you are safe.

I will be proud of you from afar
Always wishing that I could share
The many joys you will have
Or to be there to comfort your fears
And hug the tears away.

Always remember doing the right thing
Isn't the easiest but must be.
You were never a mistake
You were always a blessing to me
And soon a blessing to another family.

God knew that I would love you
And take care of you
Then one day let you go
To your mom and dad
That you are with today.

Always remember please
To give your mom and dad
A special hug from me
For taking such good care of you
And showing you that love they have
They are very special people too
For they also love you.
