A PBS/ITVS Presentation A Homeland Journey This is the story of eight adoptees who go back to Vietnam in search of their histories and heritage 25 years after Operation Babylift brought them to the U.S. The film includes interviews with "Hanoi Hannah", a
Time magazine correspondent who turned out to be a double agent, the pilot of the first Babylift flight that crashed, and others. It was particularly interesting to see the adoptees confront the still-high anti-American (and anti-Babylift) sentiment, deal with their feelings of being American yet not American, and meet the beauty and poverty of Vietnam today.
