This is a wonderful article for prospective adoptive parents to read to learn more about bonding and attachment. It is very important for prospective adoptive parents to understand that sometimes when they adopt, that the child may have problems with attachment. Knowing the signs and symptoms of an attachment disorder will help them to treat it earlier. Learning more about bonding and attachment can only help the relationship between parent and child. Asking for the comprehensive psychological evaluation will help you to be able to prepare for this child by talking to doctors, therapists, etc.
