It is important to remember that this research is for and about spouses and partners of adoptees, rather than the adoptees themselves (although it is hoped all will benefit). While factual information will be solicited from adoptees, the project will rely on the input from spouses/partners as its base.

Spouse/Partner

If you are the spouse or partner of an adult adoptee who has searched and/or reunited or is in the process, you can communicate with Nic through the Forgotten People discussion group.

No identifying names will be included in the published research.

For the present, email exchanges are encouraged in order to allow a full narrative; however, if common threads are discovered, a questionnaire may be developed at a future date.

[To get an idea of the type of input being requested, take a look at Eve's Story as an example.]

Adoptees

Once a spouse/partner has contributed, the adoptee may also contribute the facts of the search. It is important to note that the research is focused on the feelings, views, and reactions of the spouse/partner only.

Results

Relevant areas will be extracted from the email exchanges and the results will be published on the Internet to:Next page > Eve's Story > Page 1, 2, 3
