So far I have had good results using my new daughter as a homing device.

I ask her "Natasha where is Mama's coat?" and she starts looking. It is a fun game to play. I get to stand still and watch her run around the house looking. So far I can get her to look for
  • Mama's shoes
  • Mama's coat
  • Her coat
  • Her shoes
  • Max the wonder dog
  • Taz the other dog
  • Pickles (she loves pickles)
  • Dirty dishes that she has left all over the house
