Take the following items with you if you travel to Ukraine. Try not to take anything else. You don't want to carry around luggage all over Ukraine. This packing list is in order of importance.
  1. Sense of humor
  2. Flashlight
  3. Batteries for flashlight
  4. M&M or some type of sweet for the children
  5. Enough clean underwear for 3 weeks
  6. Camera/video camera
  7. Two outfits - you will wear the same clothing over and over
  8. Something to read
  9. Something to write on
  10. Envelopes
  11. Toothbrush
  12. Hairbrush
  13. Russian dictionary
  14. Soap that can be used to wash body, hair or clothing
