Today was a busy day. We had a follow up appointment with the eye doctor who was doing the surgery. He is going to fix her congenital strabismus. At least I now know one trait that Natasha got from her bio parents.

We had to be at the office by 915AM this morning. Natasha was a little eager to get there because the office was full of toys. Natasha did get to play with a large barney doll that made her happy. This is the doll that she tried to take home with on her last visit to this office. (grin)

This appointment is straightforward and I learned that he would be moving the inner muscles on both eyes. Ugh!

We hurried to the hospital for our tour. Melissa meets us in the lobby and starting telling Natasha about her future day in the hospital. Melissa sat on the floor and talk to Natasha not at Natasha. She showed her a picture of a doll in a hospital bed and gave her a coloring book that had an outline of a hospital stay. The story line went: special hospital PJs, special bed with wheels, go to sleep, wake up, don't pull on the IV, go home. Natasha got a hairnet and mask to play with. Melissa let her play with a stethoscope. Natasha listened very careful and asked about pain. Melissa reassured her 'no pain'.

Then we are taken to the 5th floor and show the out patient rooms. This tour was worth it. I believe Natasha has a better understanding of what is going to happen.

Then we do the pre-surgery visit. What a joke. Is Natasha allergic to anything? I don't know. Then the anesthesiologist races in talks for 2 minutes and leaves.

I got Natasha to preschool just in time for naptime. She was ready to sleep.
