I love the way that Natasha says "oh". She places such meaning into so small a word. Natasha seems to be saying, "I totally understand everything in the universe".

Today Natasha started using "yes". Up until now she has said things like "uhuh". "Yes mama" is such a wonderful sentence. (grin)

Last weekend I bought Natasha her first baby doll. All her other dolls are shaped like a dog or kitten. Natasha promptly named her doll LALA. This is Russian for baby doll.

I actually bought this particular doll because of dinner last Friday.

Mom, Natasha, and I went to dinner before going shopping for a present. We went to a baby shower last Saturday for a local family that just adopted twin boys from Ukraine.

Natasha's two favorite things to do are shopping and sliding. Her favorite TV show is SuperMarket Sweep where people race around a grocery store shoving things into a basket.

Anyway back to dinner.

Just as we are leaving the restaurant Natasha spots a girl holding this doll. Natasha really liked the size, shape and look of the doll. I had a hard time convincing her to leave the restaurant without a scene. We complimented the little girl on her doll and Natasha finally agreed to leave for shopping.

Once we started looking for a present for two 18-month old boys, Natasha saw her chance. She spotted the exact same doll from the restaurant and pointed it out to me. She pulled it off the shelves and walked around the store.

I agreed with Natasha that it was a fine doll and should go home with us.
