U.S. Department of State: International Adoption
The State Department maintains factsheets on adoption regulations for individual countries, issues warnings and notices about travel restrictions and program interruptions, and offers information about child trafficking, abductions, and other legal issues.

Inter-Country Adoption Registry (ICAR)
On-line database registry designed to provide adoptive families with access to objective, uncensored information on organizations participating in adoption. All information is voluntarily provided by adoptive families and prospective families can search the registry using various criteria.

Joint Council on International Children's Services
The largest affiliation of licensed, non-profit international adoption agencies. Listed alphabetically by name.

National Adoption Information Clearinghouse
Listings of agencies working in various countries, as well as those that handle donations to Russian orphanages.
