Factsheets have been created for the top 20 sending countries to the U.S. reported for 2003 (but include information for Canadians as well), and are listed alphabetically.

What the people are called
Population ethnic groups
U.S. Embassy location, contact
Canadian Embassy location, contact
Money (and conversion rates)
Time zone
Phone/Internet connectivity
Languages and what they look like
Major holidays
Common (baby) names

Note: Be sure to check the current status of adoption programs for notices of changes or delays. Several country programs are on hold, and there are travel warnings for a few.
