What you need to know

Factsheets have been created for the top 20 sending countries to the U.S. reported for 2003 (but include information for Canadians as well), and are listed alphabetically.

Traveling to adopt? You'll want to know about money, where the Embassy is located, how to stay in touch with the folks back home, and other details before you leave. Here you go!

• Population ethnic groups

• Money (and conversion rates)

• Phone/Internet connectivity
• Languages and what they look like
• Major holidays
• Common (baby) names
  

Note: Be sure to check the current status of adoption programs for notices of changes or delays. Several country programs are on hold, and there are travel warnings for a few.
