Obtaining Non-Identifying Information: Adoptive parents may receive medical and genetic information.
Obtaining Identifying Information: Identifying information is provided through an Adoption Registry.
Using the Adoption Registry: Birth parents, adopted adults, birth siblings, and relatives of either a deceased birth parent or an adopted adult can use the registry. One birth parent's information shall not be released without the consent of the other birth parent, unless there is only one birth parent listed on the birth certificate, or the other birth parent is deceased or cannot be located.
