Biographical Information

Susan Ward is a communications specialist, free-lance writer, and founder of Heritage Communications, a company that provides information about families and culture. Her background is in museums, public relations, and public speaking.

In 1997, she adopted her daughter, Hannah, age 6, from Russia. She educates older child adoptive families about the joys and challenges of older child adoption through her website, Older Child Adoption Online Magazine.

Susan grew up in Michigan and, prior to parenthood, lived in far-flung locations including Colorado, Florida, Australia, and England.
