Child and Family Services Reviews - State Results
In this round of reviews, which started in 2001 and was completed in 2004 (
see schedule), all states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico are being evaluated to assess their compliance with standards in 14 areas directly related to the care and protection of our nation's children.
Results are tabulated in overview after all reviews have been completed and published, but just to give you an idea, no state has "passed" the audit. As a matter of fact, out of 14 indicators, no state has passed on more than 9, and of the 7 outcomes (dealing with child safety, permanency, and well-being) no state has passed on more than 2. (Data has been taken from reports published on the Children's Bureau Web site.)
If a link is not available, it means that the state report hasn't yet been updated here.
Here are the individual state results of reviews we've looked at.
