Safety Outcomes
- Safety Outcome 1: Children are, first and foremost, protected from abuse and neglect.
Performance Indicators:
- Timeliness of initiating investigations of reports of child maltreatment
- Recurrence of maltreatment
- Incidence of child abuse and/or neglect in foster care
- Safety Outcome 2: Children are safely maintained in their homes whenever possible and appropriate.
Performance Indicators:
- Services to family to protect child(ren) in home and prevent removal
- Current risk of harm to child
"Substantial compliance" : In 95% of the cases reviewed (90% on the initial review), these outcomes must be rated "substantially achieved," plus the statewide data indicators must meet the national standards.
