Telling stories in photos is a wonderful expression of relationships, and adoptive families are shown from every angle in these photographic essays. The best books convey the joy of creating a family through adoption, but don't overlook the pain and challenges.

By Mary Ann Koenig, Niki Berg (photographer). The author bases her stories on interviews with a wide spectrum of triad members in open and closed adoptions, and the photographs tell the rest. A beautiful, sensitive book.
