Shay Bilchik

Shay Bilchik is the Executive Director of the Child Welfare League of America, the oldest and largest association of agencies that directly help abused, neglected, and otherwise vulnerable children and their families. CWLA has more than 1,100 member agencies nationwide.
Mr. Bilchik came to CWLA from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention in the US Department of Justice, and previously served as Associate Deputy District Attorney General. Within the OJJDP, he focused on developing policies and a range of programs that supported efforts to reduce juvenile offending and victimization.
He presented across the country; authored numerous articles on juvenile justice and delinquency prevention, and has been involved in drafting a number of juvenile chief and child abuse legislative proposals.
