The Bottom Line - This book was worth every penny. It aided communication with my 3.5-year-old daughter while I was in Ukraine adopting her, and it greatly helped her transition from Russian to English.

This book has 55 pages of pictures and an 8-page dictionary of Russian to English translations with a pronunciation guide. There's no story line; instead, there are pages of situations and themes, such as airline travel, kitchen activities, and clothing. Colors, counting, and shapes are also covered.
I took this book with me to Ukraine when I adopted my daughter, and we started using it immediately in many different ways. My daughter would use a Russian word and I would repeat it then use the English word. Her enunciation wasn't the best and I greatly appreciated help from the pronunciation guide. We read this book every night for the first 4 months she was with me. She refers to it as her "Ukraine" book and is attached to it.
