Hi!
We realize you are making an important life decision for yourself and your baby. We understand that although adoption is a difficult decision for you, it is a decision made out of love.
We have created this site so you can get an idea of who we are and why we think we can be great parents.
We have been married for almost five years and are unable biologically to have children. We are ready to become parents, and are turning our hearts toward adoption.
We have a happy marriage and both of us come from close-knit families who live nearby and are very supportive of our decision to adopt. We enjoy outdoor activities, sports, travel, and animals. We also like our relaxing time at home. We live in a quiet, established neighborhood in Sacramento with good schools and parks within walking distance. We have a comfortable home with a good-sized backyard. We have a golden retriever dog and a cat, both who are gentle and love children.
We are both attorneys with the State of California and work in the same office, only two miles from home. Prior to law school, Wayne worked in television/radio and Maureen worked as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner at a local hospital. We are fortunate that both our jobs offer flexible schedules which should mean little or no day-care. Maureen plans to take significant time off from work after the baby is born, and then return part-time.
We are financially stable and ready for the commitment of starting a family. We believe the most important things in a family are unconditional love, security and stability, which we are able to provide and want to share with a child.
WAYNE ABOUT MAUREEN
Maureen is the kindest person I've ever met. she is very devoted to her family which consists of me (of course), her mother and father, and her brother and his wife and three children. Her family all lives in town and we visit regularly. Maureen is a loving aunt to Sarah, Lauren, Philip (her brother's three children), and Andy and Daniel (my sister's two boys). All the kids always look forward to spending their time with us. Maureen's parents also visit regularly, at least once a week. Her family looks forward to spoiling our new baby.
Maureen is a great sport. From the time she was a young girl until college, she owned her own horse and participated in horse shows. She still loves horse back riding and also enjoys skiing, hiking, and swimming. Since meeting me, she has also become a big baseball fan.
Maureen loves our dog and cat and we enjoy walking our dog to the local parks in the evenings and weekends. Maureen is also a world traveler. She has gone to England, France, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, and Hawaii, just to name a few places. We hope to travel with our children and show them the world.
My wife is well-educated, with a master's degree in nursing and a law degree, yet she is very down to earth. Maureen wants nothing more than to be a loving mother. I have no doubt that she will be a wonderful Mom and that our children will have great opportunities in life. My wife is very supportive and is unconditional in her love for me, her family, and life.
MAUREEN ABOUT WAYNE
Wayne will be a great Dad. He is easy-going, funny, and a truly wonderful person with good values and strong family bonds. Wayne is very much a self-starter, working his way through college and law school. He initially started a career in radio (as a disc jockey) and television, before he began his career in criminal law working as a prosecutor.
Wayne has a variety of interests. He is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and other charitable activities. He loves the outdoors and sports, especially baseball, basketball, and golf. As a boy, his family attended many San Francisco Giants games, and we still attend lots of Giants games with our families and friends. We have been to Arizona several times for baseball's spring training and also visit the beautiful sites in Arizona, such as the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Last year, Wayne and his Dad took a "baseball trip" visiting ballparks in Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia, and the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
He is our nephew Philip's favorite uncle. Wayne always picks out special gifts for Philip that he recalls loving as a young boy. Wayne loves to spend time with all our nieces and nephews. Whether we are blessed with a boy or girl, Wayne will make a great father.
We hope that if you are considering placing your child for adoption you will want to speak to us. We would enjoy the chance to get to know you.
