A Life in the out-of-doors playing near deer and turkey in beautiful, rural Georgia, a life based on God's love and our love for each other and a life where education is a priority
Dear Birthmother,
Hello, our names are Steve and Teresa and we live in Georgia.
It is our heart-felt prayer and desire to adopt a baby. We are happily married and excited about raising a child together. We have a strong and solid marriage, based on God's love. We are committed to each other and to our future with God's blessing. We are also committed to loving and nurturing a baby, and to provide him or her with a secure and solid home.
We live in a rural area, where wild deer and turkey play in our woods and even in our back yard! We enjoy watching and feeding them. You may often find us enjoying the beauty of Georgia and our lovely magnolia tree in our back yard. We live in a small town, but we are close enough to the city of Chattanooga to attend special events and activities. We plan to raise our child to be involved in many school and church activities, as well as to teach him or her how to enjoy the outdoors. We have a big yard for running, playing, making tree forts, and being together as a family. We both believe it is very important to be active with a child and we have the time and desire to do so. We love animals and have a cat named Cleo and a small dog named Misty.
Steve is a Purchasing Manager at Seaboard Farms and has worked there for over 10 years. He is well respected and liked by his fellow workers and co-managers. Steve has a strong set of work ethics and Christian values. He has been in the Army, Michigan National Guard, Tennessee National Guard, and the Army Reserves. His years of service have enabled him to travel to places like Germany and Vietnam, and Steve served in the Gulf war from October 1990 until March 1991. With his large extended family, he enjoys his hobbies of hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Teresa is head of the payroll department in a service company in Chattanooga. She enjoys her job, but will devote her time and energies to being a mother. Her hobbies include sewing, painting, and making crafts. Our nursery will be in the theme of Noah's Ark and Teresa has been sewing and completing a wall hanging and accessories for the room. She has a tender and sweet heart and looks forward to loving and nurturing a child, as only a mother can. Teresa comes from a large family and has about 20 nieces and nephews. All of her cousins, aunts, and uncles anticipate playing and loving the newest addition!
We are very active members of our Baptist church and local mission projects. Some of these include the Widows Harvest Mission, Wednesday night youth group, and Steve ushers for our Sunday services. Steve has also participated in World Changers Mission with our youth group. As the Mission Task Force Coordinator, he plans other mission outings. We both enjoy working with others on mission building and repair projects. We have a strong support system within our church that are praying with us to adopt a child.
Education is a priority, as well as teaching our child about our hobbies and encouraging their interests. It is our desire for our child to be well rounded in their education and we are willing to jump in and learn more ourselves to help them grow. We even bought a new computer and are learning all about the Internet! We are eager to learn more and spend time in training and in preparation for our future family. We will raise our baby in a Christian home where the wonders of Jesus and God's love will be taught. We will teach our child to trust in God to provide and to prepare them for the right type of job. Additionally, how to be able and ready to give and serve others. We want our son or daughter to be their very best.
We believe that God will answer our prayers to adopt a baby. We pray that He will lead a birthmother to choose us, and to know that she has made the right decision. We are ready and willing to accept the responsibility of raising a child. It is our prayer that you have peace regarding the decisions you are facing. Thank you for reading our letter.
In Christ,
Steve and Teresa
