Birthparent Resume Letter: Stacey and Harry

Dear Friends and Family,

We are writing to you in hope that you (or someone you know) will be able to help us in our efforts to adopt a child. We are a 39 year-young couple and have been married for five plus years. After extensive treatment for infertility, we are seeking to start our family. Fortunately, both of us have always been open to welcoming a child into our hearts through adoption.

We live in a quiet neighborhood in Los Gatos, California--a quaint, family-oriented community 50 miles from San Francisco. Our 7 years old Golden Retriever, Robbie, appreciates that we live near many local parks. We are fortunate to enjoy a sense of safety and warmth through the opportunity to truly know some of our neighbors.

Harry is a Podiatrist who chose to alter his career path three years ago and now enjoys working as a Sales Representative in the healthcare industry. This career change affords him shorter and more flexible hours to spend with his wife Stacey, Robbie, and the child we are awaiting. Stacey is a Psychologist who revels in helping people grow emotionally as individuals. She works part-time and is close to home, in anticipation of motherhood becoming her primary role.

Both of us are outdoor enthusiasts with interests including: hiking, camping and gardening. Harry also excels at gourmet and BBQ cooking. Stacey is an avid water aerobics participant and she also loves cooking, jewelry making and flower arranging. Our cultural interests bring us to San Francisco regularly to dine, visit museums, and attend concerts and theater. Travel is also a vital part of our lifestyle. Recent trips include adventures to France, Spain, Portugal and Chicago. An upcoming trip with Stacey's family will be to visit Vancouver, British Columbia. In addition, both of us are volunteer mentors for local high school students in a program called "Future Vision."

All that is missing from our full and varied lives are children to complete our family circle. Both us come from very close families who are very supportive of our decision to adopt. They share in the excitement and anticipation we feel towards welcoming a child into our lives.

If you know of or hear of an expectant mother who is considering placing her child for adoption, or a doctor, a teacher, or other professionals who may be able to help us, please contact us. Feel free to call us at any time at 1-800-484-9969 PIN# 2229(BABY). If you prefer, contact our adoption attorney, Nanci Worcester at 1-800-523-6781.

Sincerely,
Stacey and Harry
