Praise God for his perfect plan!
Hello!
After struggling to know His plan for us over the past two years, we now believe that God is guiding us toward open adoption to start our family. We can only imagine the deep feelings that you are likely to be experiencing at this time with so many choices in your life, trying to know God's plan for you. We do know that you are a gift from heaven to consider entrusting your baby to a set of parents who you have chosen specially for him or her, to choose life for your baby! Thank you for your LOVE. We pray that you will find the comfort and compassion that you need to make the loving decisions you face. Whether you choose us to love and parent your baby or not, we wish you peace and offer our hearts to you.
About our Life Together:
Coast of California. We're just getting started in our new home and we plan to make it into a paradise for our family, with a horse or two in the corral and plenty of room for a swingset and other adventures. We have three dogs and a cat already, so our child will grow up learning to love all of God's creatures! We each come from large families and know the love that family can bring. Our other family is our church family; we are very active in our church and socialize with many friends and their children. We are anxious to have our son or daughter join us on potlucks and picnics. We're both active in the drama productions that our church puts on three times a year. Robert plays the harmonica in the Praise Band and we lead a Care group in our home every week where the adults meet upstairs and the little ones are with a sitter, playing downstairs. We're always one baby short. Church and prayer are big parts of our lives and we have the support of many loving families who will join us in welcoming our baby to God's family as well as into our hearts and lives. Susan's sister had a son last year and one of her best friends adopted a son 8 months ago so there will be a cousin and a best friend just waiting for our child.
We have college degrees and will encourage our child to love learning and go to college so s/he can develop his/her interests and skills. As a person of mixed-race heritage we want our child to learn to value his/her strengths and succeed in the world while always keeping Jesus in their heart. We will teach respect for all colors of people, modeling the ability to view people's hearts and minds, to love all kinds of people. We'll also teach love and kindness to animals and nature. We believe in firm but gentle structure, clarity and consistency in a child's life. We want to laugh lots but will always be there to comfort and support in the sad or scary times. This will hang in the nursery, our wish for our baby:
Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh often, work hard, give freely and be kind.
About Robert:
Robert and I started dating about five years ago and have been married for three. I fell for his gentle nature and great intelligence, oh and, he's also the most handsome man I've ever met! I truly believe that I am blessed with the best husband in the world, and probably the best father in the world, soon. He works as the Senior Design Engineer at a local electronic engineering company, mainly designing power supplies. He understands computers and loves to explore the world of cyberspace, (and sometimes cyber-solitaire); our child will have their own computer ASAP. To balance out his "nerdy" side he is a gifted musician (harmonica, piano, guitar . . .), and dancer. Robert can build or fix anything, he's a talented woodworker and he's a great cook too! Everyone who meets Robert likes him; he's got a big smile, a huge heart and strong, loving arms. I just know that our child will help "daddy" with his projects, walk with their little hand in his big hand, and laugh often as he or she is scooped up in those arms, under that smile.
About Susan:
We are compassionate and strong individuals who have, through our marriage, made thoughtful choices to be different than most. We have always expected that our child's appearance and heritage would be extraordinary and are looking forward to teaching pride in that beauty. Now we know that our child will be special for being adopted, we will always teach the blessings of this special love from you, the birthparent(s), and from us, the adoptive parents. Life isn't always easy but our child will have many to support him/her here on earth, and, of course, the One God to support from above.

God Bless You Always,
Robert and Susan
