On the weekends it seems we're always? busy. We have friends or family over for barbeques; we go skiing, tent or boat camping, or hiking in the mountains. Both our parents, brothers and sisters and their families live in California, so we're fortunate to be able to spend time with them whenever we want. We live in a great location for quick trips? to San Francisco, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and Napa. We enjoy taking our niece and nephew with us to the State Fair, 'Apple Hill' in the Fall, Marine World, and for live performances at the Music Circus.

We're big on holidays, birthdays and other events --decorations are essential!? We have our own Easter egg hunt (adults and kids!); a 4th of July block-party with a kids' bike-decorating contest and parade, egg toss, and dancing; we carve pumpkins at Halloween; we cut our own Christmas tree and hang mistletoe in our doorways. We can make a celebration out of any occasion!

About Melinda?by Vince

Melinda is the creative ?lefty' in our home. She enjoys painting, decorating, and gardening, as well as anything outdoors or in the water! In fact, her first job was as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Currently, she is a Human Resource Director for a Healthcare Company. She's lucky to have the experience and flexibility to stay at home now and/or work on part-time projects-making her own schedule.

Melinda is warm, patient, and caring. Family and relationships come first. We are very close with Mel's? parents, grandparents, sister, brother, cousins, and their families. (They are also very anxious to welcome a new baby into the family!

Melinda values the past and embraces the future. On one hand, she collects children's books? and toys and enjoys sharing their fun and magic with kids. She photographs all our ?occasions'? and keeps antiques and mementos for future generations. On the other hand, she buys stock and hi-tech gadgets for our nieces and nephews, to introduce them to the endless opportunities available to them. Melinda is very loving - she'll be a great mom. I know she's committed to ensuring that our child has the freedom and encouragement to explore his or her potential.

About Vince?.by Melinda.

Vince is very fun to be around; he has a wonderful sense-of-humor. He is outgoing, optimistic, and a good communicator. These traits have helped him become a successful Account Manager for a computer software engineering firm based in Alabama. Vince is a patient and thoughtful teacher - he's actually helped both of our parents and some of their friends go ?on-line' in the past year.

We keep our ties with Southern California by visiting Vince's family and our friends as often as possible. We never miss our Sunday night phone call to his parents.? Other family members are inOregon - including his 97 year old grandmother who justgot her first hot tub!

Vince enjoys golf, fishing, baseball, skiing and water sports. He's also very handy? around the house - whether it's doing laundry or building a new patio.

Children love Vince. I believe it's because Vince is the first to play games, and spend quality time with them; but he is also a good listener and sincerely cares about them. Vince has a ton of love to give and will be a ?natural' dad.
