Scotty and Dana2
Scotty takes on the Pacuare River,
Costa Rica

Adoption Associates, Inc.
So much of the enjoyment of doing these activities comes from being able to do them together.

Growing up, our families both enjoyed sports and travel together and those are some of our best memories. We want to give that type of upbringing to our child, so that he or she will feel encouraged, valued and supported and will learn how to give those things to others.

We take a break on an epic powder day to share in the wonder and beauty of snow in the trees.

We travel frequently during Scotty's school breaks, often going to Latin America and Mexico. There's always a bit of adventure in these trips, as Scotty demonstrates (left), on the Pacuare River in Costa Rica.

Both of us feel it is important to see as much of the world as possible and get to know other cultures. Besides, the people are great almost everywhere we've been, and it's a lot of fun practicing our Spanish.
Someday we hope our child will have the experience of living in a foreign country for a while so that he or she will develop an understanding of how different people can be while still having wonderful human qualities.

One of the true secrets of life is knowing how to relax. Scotty takes a moment to commune with nature at Tikal in Guatemala.

Both of us feel so lucky to have the opportunity to see first hand the incredible civilizations of the Maya in Central America. We camped at Tikal for several days and toured the ruins and new museum.

We always spend a good deal of our travel time studying languages and cultures as well as enjoying the sporting life.

Dana studies an authentic Mexican Indian ceramic piece with one of her Spanish students. On this trip last year, she taught and traveled with a group of students for three weeks in Central Mexico.

They visited ancient villages, colonial towns and a Volcano, as well as spent several hours a day studying and shopping, sightseeing or horseback riding.
Sweet Pea, our beloved Senegal Parrot, would love to have a new face in the house, too. She is very sweet and can be quite demanding too, just like a baby!

In our new family, we will provide unconditional love in a nurturing environment, non-judgmental guidance and a safe, stable home. We have a wealth of experience to fall back on and inner strength to propel us ahead. By having this, a child can grow up with the skills and support needed to make life's journey successful.

We believe in balance. We've always done work that provides good income and benefits. But instead of pursuing the fast track, we've chosen a simpler work life to make room for a fulfilling family life. We moved from the high-tech cubicles of top computer companies to home consulting and education to accomplish this.

We have put a lot of energy into our relationship to keep it loving, honest and close. We started talking about and planning for a family almost form the beginning. Our six-year relationship is based on family and community.

So, if you want to give your child a wonderful, loving, supportive home we hope you'll choose us as adoptive parents.
