Nancy's parents are wonderful happy retirees in upstate New York. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We see them a few times a year when they get out here or we go back east for holidays but we are very close and speak on the phone weekly. Nancy's brother, his wife and our niece and nephew all live in a beautiful country home within 5 minutes of Nancy's folks. They run a fun family business and we love to all get together and celebrate holidays and go snowmobiling on their 33 acres. Unfortunately, Nancy's other brother, Steve, died ten years ago. The family has learned to accept the loss and now savor every moment when we are all together for events like Christmas and Thanksgiving. The ladies of the family all compete with each other as to who puts on the best feast!
Dennis' family are all in California within easy driving distance. Dennis' folks are also retired but stay active with tennis and golf. The "family home" is in Santa Barbara near the beach and a condo is available for all to use in Palm Springs, and in Cancun, Mexico. Fun! We are very close, like most Italian families, and Dennis' brother and his wife, with their kids, get together with us many times throughout the year for holidays and ski trips and boating trips. Dennis' sister (Thinks she is the backgammon champ!), her husband, and our two nieces live nearby too. The whole gang is excited about the newest member that will soon join our home. All are there to share their love.We love to bicycle with each other on country roads on weekends or as part of charitable events during the year. Since we are close to Lake Tahoe we ski often in the winters. With our ski boat we can enjoy all the plentiful lakes around our home with friends and family.
We like to enjoy new places and love to travel, having gone to Cancun, or Puerto Vallarta, Mexico several times. Since Dennis has lived in Europe, with cousins still there for us to visit any time, it is our hope to make that our next big adventure.
