We have two crazy cats named Gus and Callie. We can't wait until the day when they will have a little baby brother or sister to spoil. They have always been wonderful with our three year-old nephew, Lorenzo. They also take great pride in the fact that they have prepared us well for parenthood. We are used to being awakened in the wee hours of the night to play with them, feed them or take care of them when they are sick. To prevent them from getting into mischief, we have installed baby locks on our cabinets and doors. They go to the vet for regular check-ups and receive the best food and medical care. We even have their teeth examined and cleaned when necessary. Obviously, they are very spoiled and very loved. Gus is affectionately known as "GoldenBoy" and "Mama's Lovin' Spoonful." Callie prefers to be called Miss Callie as she thinks of herself as quite the regal Calico. We hope that our affection for our cats shows how much we would love and care for our children.

About Us
David About Regina
Regina is the most wonderful blessing in my life! She is my best friend and the most compassionate person I have ever met. Regina is intelligent, warm and has a wonderful sense of humor. She is the kind of person that everyone likes; I know she brings a smile to my face every day!

Since Regina and I became engaged, I have known that she has always dreamed of being a mother. Regina definitely has the maternal instinct. She loves animals and pampers our two cats as she would our children. She majored in Child Development in college and has been an elementary school teacher since 1992. Her students seem naturally drawn to her wonderful personality.

Currently, she teaches Kindergarten to a class of energetic and lovable 4 and 5 year-olds. She believes teaching is the second most rewarding job in the world. The most rewarding job, of course, is being a Mother. From all the stories she tells me of her Kindergartners. I know she dreams of having those same experiences with our own child. Every school year, many parents of Regina's students praise her work with their children, and she is always in demand when parents request whom they would like to have teach their child. Regina also loves spending time with our little nephew. With the arrival of our new baby, Regina will take a leave of absence from her job. When she returns to work, my mother will provide child-care.

Regina has many interests, including arts and crafts, making floral arrangements, and doing interior designing projects to beautify our home. She also enjoys collecting bears, bunnies and cat "stuff," going to movies, reading, camping, visiting with family and friends and playing with our cats.

Regina About David
David is my best friend and the love of my life. I thank God for him every day. He is the most wonderful man I have ever met. A day does not go by that he doesn't tell me or show me that he loves me. He always sees me off to work with a kiss and a wave from our front door. I am his "Sweetie Pie" and he is "My Love." His love for others is evident in the way he interacts with his family. He is especially close to his mother and identical twin brother, Dan.

Our nephew, Lorenzo, loves spending time with his "Uncle David," too. David will spend hours playing with him. One night when we were babysitting Lorenzo, he was fussy because he was teething and it was David who stayed up and rocked him for three hours straight! Talk about patience! I know in my heart that David will make a wonderful father.

He is also incredibly smart and funny. He graduated Salutatorian of our high school and held academic honors while receiving his degree in Business Administration. David enjoys reading, bike riding, camping, and getting together with family. David also enjoys sports. Living in the Sacramento area, we have seen many Sacramento Kings and Monarchs basketball games. Last summer, we went to several Sacramento River Cats baseball games, too. In addition, David has a large collection of Star Wars toys that he has had since he was a young boy. He hopes to share this collection with our future children. David also enjoys working on the computer. He is a programmer who generally can work his own hours. This will definitely come in handy when we are raising our children, since we both want to have more than one child.

More About Us

In addition to our hobbies, we enjoy traveling. We anticipate many future family vacations. We love the great outdoors! We have made many trips to the Redwoods and Lake Tahoe, as well as several camping trips. We are fortunate to live close to the mountains and the California coast. We like to drive to San Francisco to visit Pier 39 and the seals that live there, as well as attending San Francisco 49'er games with family. We also enjoy visiting Monterey (where we spent our honeymoon) and Disneyland. Our last two major excursions were family trips to Washington and Canada and to Walt Disney World in Florida. Needless to say, we're friends of Mickey Mouse (although David is a big Donald Duck fan, too!). Our families have quite a few pictures of us as children at Disneyland. How we look forward to the day that we can take our own children on such exciting vacations!

We hope you can see that family is very important to us. We want your child to know about the courageous sacrifice you made and how special you will always be to us. We want you to be able to share ongoing pictures, calls, and visits if you so desire. A child cannot have too many people to love and be loved by.

As you make this difficult decision for your baby's future, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to meeting you, so that we can learn more about each other. You may reach us through our adoption attorney, Nanci Worcester at (800) 523-6781.

Yours in Waiting,

David and Regina
