Having a family has always been important to us. We always talked about and looked forward to the day that we would have a family of our own.
Our names are David and Regina. We are both 31 years of age. We met as Juniors in high school and
have been a couple since we were 17 years old. After high school, we attended the same college. We married soon after graduating and have been together ever since. Having a family has always been important to us. We always talked about and looked forward to the day that we would have a family of our own. After many doctor visits and unsuccessful fertility treatments, we have come to the realization that God has a special plan in mind for us --- to build our family through adoption.
Our Home & Family
We live in a 4 bedroom, one-story home in the small community of Antelope just outside of Sacramento, California. Our street is filled with young families and many children. We get together with our neighbors for barbecues and annual Fourth of July fireworks. We often take walks or ride our bikes around the neighborhood. Three parks are within walking distance of our home, with one right down the street from us. An excellent elementary school is just a block away. Our tree-filled backyard is home to a pair of mourning doves who live in a hanging flower basket above our deck. They and their many chicks have been with us for the past three years.
Regina's father, his wife, and their son live less than 5 minutes from our home. David's mother and brother live less than 10 minutes away, too. We are all very close and take turns hosting family celebrations and holidays. Every Sunday, we attend church together. We have a strong Christian faith and will raise our child in the spirit of our faith. Regina's mother, sister, brother in-law and nephew (such a cutie!) live an hour away from us. However, that has not stopped us from keeping in touch. We always get together during the summer months and holidays since Regina is on vacation from school. We are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of our child.
