Thank you for taking time to learn about us! We have the utmost respect for you and your choice to consider the gift of adoption. Our decision to adopt came after four years of unsuccessful pregnancies and infertility treatments. We can only imagine what a difficult decision this is for you and hope you will consider us as you explore your options.

About Us

Dan grew up on his family's working ranches in San Benito and San Joaquin Counties, surrounded by row crops, orchards, horses, cattle, and a very healthy lifestyle. Christine was raised in the Salinas Valley, a short drive from her family's retail business in Monterey, where she often frequented its beautiful beaches and surrounding landscapes. We were both raised in large families with a strong sense of faith and values. Education was a priority for both of our families and consequently we both attended private grade schools and the same private high school.

Our siblings were friendly and our parents were well acquainted through their involvement in athletics and parent's clubs. Christine and Kim, Dan's little sister, immediately befriended one another in high school and this friendship carried on throughout college.

Although our lives shared common threads, our paths never connected until we had both graduated from college and returned to our respective hometowns, only 40 miles apart. We met at a summer party and the rest is history. We were married in 1995 at Dan's family's home ranch and have been best friends ever since.
More About Us

We live in San Benito County, a small agricultural community only 90 minutes from San Francisco, our favorite city. We own a restored farmhouse on an 11-acre parcel that borders Dan's family ranch. Recently, we added on 2 bedrooms, including a nursery and bathroom. Our house is surrounded by acres of walnut orchards and the San Benito River runs through our property allowing for lots of summer fun! Directly across the road is a rural county school where our nieces and nephews attend school. Southside School is small and ranked as the top K-8 school in the county.

We love the community we live in and its surrounding areas. However, we always find the time to get away and explore new and exciting places. Our parents both encouraged and facilitated extensive traveling throughout our lives. Because these experiences have enriched our lives, we plan to incorporate travel into our family life.
