Dan plans to build a barn and paddocks for his other passion, horses. He looks forward to teaching our nieces and nephews and hopefully our own children, to ride. Dan makes a point of scheduling a portion of his vacation time every summer for the annual trip to one of the family ranches way up north, Marshy Lake. He has spent many summers with family and friends camping at Marshy in the Trinity Alps. This summer will mark our seventh trip together full of sleeping under the stars, horse back riding, hiking and swimming. Everyone attends: our parents, siblings, and kids too! It's a blast!

Dan is unique and a treasure in my life. He is the best friend that I laugh, dream, and cry with. He would make a wonderful father because, to me, he is a model of all that is good in life ... kind, loving, generous, and fun to be around.

Family and Friends

Our families and friends are very important to us, and they, too, are waiting to welcome a new baby into our lives. We are the proud godparents of three children and choose to spend time with them attending school plays or just hanging out. Our spare time is often spent with friends and family doing children-centered activities, such as fishing up in Tahoe, playing at the beach or ice-skating in the winter. One of our spare bedrooms is strictly for children, bunk beds, and all. Sleepovers are not uncommon - we think it's good practice!

We have spent a great deal of time with hopes of a child to complete our family. We are fortunate that our choices in lifestyle will allow us to spend optimal time with our children. Parenting is something we look forward to and anticipate its challenges and rewards. It is imperative to us that we be at home with our children to instill faith, values and a sense of belonging within our family.
