Family is very important to me. I'm the youngest of five children and most of us still live within fifteen minutes of each other. I see my family often, and I am very close to my eight nieces and nephews. It seems like I'm always busy attending school functions, dance recitals and little league games, and I look forward to the day that I can support my own child's interests and talents in the same way. Most of my friends also
have children, some of whom are adopted as well. My child will grow up with lots of cousins and friends close in age. My sister-in-law, Bonnie, has volunteered to babysit while I work.

I enjoy reading, going to the movies and the theater. There is something about getting lost in a book or being transported to another world when the curtain rises that has always been magical to me. I'm so excited about sharing this with my child, and I know my child will be read to, and sung to, from a very early age. I love all kinds of music, especially country and show-tunes,and can frequently be found singing around the house or at work (off-key of course). I am an avid college basketball fan (Purdue is my favorite!) In the summer, my house is the gathering place. Friends and family enjoy playing in my pool and relaxing in the sun.

Neighborhood
My house has lots of room to play, sidewalks to ride
bikes on and trees to climb. There are tons of kids, most of whom know Louie by name and like to go on walks with us. The elementary school two blocks away has a really cool playground. I'm sometimes the biggest kid on the swings! Plus, Indianapolis is a great place to raise kids. We have a great zoo and a fantastic Children's Museum, as well as many great parks and good schools. There's everything a
big city has to offer, but we also have the feeling of a
small town. I can hardly wait to share all my favorite
places with my child, and experience them again in a whole new light!

With Nephew Joey at the Beach Each summer my entire family usually takes a vacation
to the beach in Delaware or to Disney World. We also
have big family gatherings for every birthday and
almost every holiday. Everyone is very excited about
having a new member of the family to join in the fun!
