This must be an incredibly tough time for you. I cannot begin to imagine all the emotions you are feeling, but please know that you have my utmost respect and encouragement.

You might be wondering why I'm choosing to adopt as a single parent. Just as you have done a lot of soul searching about the best choice for your child, I too, have been wrestling with my overwhelming desire for motherhood. I've wanted children for as long as I can remember, and I have known since I was a teenagerthat I was unable to give birth. I'm in my early thirties and I hope to marry someday. However,marriage doesn't seem to be right around the corner, and I feel that this is the right time to bring a child into my home, surrounded by friends and family, who are all very excited about welcoming a new LaRosa. Please know that marrying a family-oriented person that accepts my child as his own is of utmost importance to me.
When I think of parenthood, I look forward to cuddling by the fire, reading books and singing songs, baking cookies together and playing games. I also know that parenthood means being there for bellyaches, heartaches and everything else in between. I will raise my child to be independent, thoughtful, caring and happy. My child will never doubt the amount of love felt by my family or me for him/her, and he/she will always know the great deal of love that went into your decision.

I'm from Indianapolis, Indiana, where I have worked as a nurse in a children's hospital for the last twelve years. I dearly love working with kids and cannot imagine doing anything else. Despite that, there is a
hole in my heart for a child of my own. My hours at work are child friendly. I have weekends, evenings and holidays free because I work eight hours shifts during the week. I live with my dog, Louie, a mixed breed that I took in as a stray puppy. He is very good with kids.
