KOREA PROGRAM
Accepting Applications: We are recruiting California families wishing to adopt from Korea Adoption Services International has coordinated adoptions directly with Eastern Child Welfare Society in Korea for 11 years.

Children Available: Infant boys and girls up to 1 year of age. Couples with no children are asked to be open to either sex (which likely means a boy). Infants who need homes are healthy, but may be; low birth weight (4-5 lbs), premature (average of 2-4 weeks premature), or have mild developmental delays.

Requirements: Under 44 years of age at time of application. The age difference between the adoptive mother and adoptive father cannot be more than 15 years. The adoptive family may have no more than 4 dependent children in the horne. Weight can be no more than 30% over ideal body weight. (Example- Woman 5'5" tall must be under 189 pounds.)

Marriage/Divorce: Korea requires couples to be married a minimum of 3 years. Korea accepts divorce. Singles are not eligible to adopt from Korea.

Time Line: Approximately 7-10 months from pre-application to child arrival

Travel: The family does not need to travel to Korea as children are escorted to Los Angeles International Airport. If you choose you may travel to escort your child home. The total costs would then be reduced by $1200 (the escort fee).

Total Costs: $11,640
