When the moon is full and crickets chirp their song?
Do you think of me
When the grass is green and lush and long?

When a cake you see with candles all aglow?

When you see that cake and think of a day long ago?

When the fire is hot and flushed upon your face?

Or do you try to forget, was I your one disgrace?

When nights are long and you cool a fevered brow?

And wonder how I am doing now?

When long and dark becomes the night?

And wonder if I have been alright?

As I have so often thought of you ?
