by Chetyl S. Jones, MSW. It is not a licensed child-placement agency but is available to offer counseling, guidance, dossier preparation and other services as may be needed by prospective adoptive families. Cheryl has more than 15 years of experience in adoptions.

Dossier Services Include:

• Obtaining birth, marriage and divorce records in the format needed by the country in which you plan to adopt
  
• Obtaining county and state certification of all documents
  
• Obtaining certification of documents at the U.S. Department of State if needed
  
• Obtaining authentication of documents by the appropriate Consulate or Embassy of the country in which you plan to adopt
  
• Reviewing documents for accuracy, in consultation with the agency handling the adoption
  
• Making photocopies of documents as needed by the adoptive parents and the agencies involved

All services can be provided without regard to the state of residence of the adoptive applicant(s) or the country in which the adoption will take place.

All documents will be given same or next-day service

Courier services such as Federal Express, UPS or DHL will be used to ensure prompt receipt of documents and to facilitate tracking.

The confidential nature of the information contained in documents will be respected.

Whenever possible, we will strive to alert adoptive applicants to potential problems with their documents, thus avoiding delays in processing time when the dossier is submitted to the adoption agency or the overseas child welfare officials. Since dossier requirements change frequently, we cannot, of course, guarantee acceptance of any document.

We will work in partnership with you and your adoption agency to provide the most efficient services possible.

Fees Involved:

• $300.00 for dossier preparation when documents originate in two (2) states or less.
• $50.00 for each additional state involved

Photocopies ($ .10 per page)
