info We humbly dedicate Adoption Today to the adoption built
families of yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Out of the love for my children and respect for their birth heritage, came the need
to explore the unique dynamics of the multi-cultural families built through international
adoption. The result was Chosen Child International Adoption Magazine, now titled, Adoption Today Magazine. It is a forum for our tales, lessons, knowledge and
experiences to be shared. It is our hope that no adoptive family will have to search
endlessly for information vital to the health and well being of their family.

As adoptees, parents, and future parents of adopted children, we have the unique
opportunity to grow with each other and help build the many crucial bridges of the
adoption community. The intersection of the family of origin and the family
of "choice," the multi-cultural transition of the entire family, and the issues surrounding
institutionalized beginnings of some of the adoptees are among the many pertinent
subjects that cannot be ignored. Instead, through the diversity of views and experiences
expressed throughout the subsequent issues, a stronger foundation, understanding,
and celebration of these uniquely built families can be achieved.
