Adoptive Parent Support

JJ Our adoptions have been out of choice. When dh and I got married, we planned to have bio children and adopt. We had heard it took years to adopt, so we were only married for nine months when we started our first adoption. We had just finished our classes and hadn't even begun our homestudy when we were matched with a PBM. We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. When she turned one, we decided to go for #2. We thought our first adoption was a fluke for happening so quickly, so we started a second adoption and had just started to try for a bio child when we were once again matched. Number three wasn't even initially planned and by the time we were ready for a fourth, I had no desire to try to become pregnant. Our longest adoption was nine months and our shortest was one week.Come visit JJ and friends in Chat on Wednesdays at 9:00 Eastern time.

We're just a group of adoptive Moms who would like to offer help and support to anyone trying to adopt. For many of us, we didn't know anyone who had adopted before when we started our journeys, although we wish we did. There are so many decisions to be made, frustrations, etc., that many of us wish we had had others to "talk" to about adoption. JJ is moderator: Adoptive mom of 4 babies adopted domestically
