Hello!
We are AmySue, Mike and Levi. We are very excited to be writing this letter and even more excited to have you read it. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us as you search for what is best for you and your baby. We feel that it is very important for our children to know where they came from and that adoption is a very loving and caring decision. We are going to be open and honest about the plans you have made for him or her. Adoption is something that is very close to our hearts.
My name is Amy Sue and I am 31 years old. I am a full time stay at home mom. I like todraw, paint and do other fun projects with our son, Levi. I am learning to garden and Levi is enjoying it as much as I am. My future plans include writing and illustrating children's books. Before our son was born, I worked as a teacher. Education is a priority. Teaching my own child has been the biggest joy for me. I am also a very big adoptionl my life. I am adopted, and know that it is a positive experience. I hold a special place in my heart for the decision that was made for me years ago. I plan to share my own adoption experience with my children.
My name is Michael and I am a 35-year-old firefighter/paramedic. I like sports, boating and working in the yard. On my days at home you can find Levi and me playing in the yard. I dreamed of being a fireman all my life - I share with our son that dreams can come true. I come from a family with strong Christian values and plan to pass that down to my children. I love our family time that the three of us share. I am very excited to see Levi playing with his brother or sister! My name is Levi. I am 2 years old and my favorite thing to do is play with my trucks. I am very good at drawing, painting and other messy things. I like to help cook and do yardwork. Mommy takes me to the library once a week to check out books. I cannot wait to have a baby brother or sister to read with. I enjoy reading very much. I love to flush the potty and chase Dewey (the puppy) around the house. I like to do headstands and I am a great dancer!
We recently moved to a small historic town. We fell in love with the charming atmosphere and wonderful people. We look forward to watching our kids grow up in such a beautiful place. Our house was built in the 1920's and we have had a great time restoring it bit by bit. Our backyard is incredible and it contains the biggest elm tree we have ever seen! In the summer, our house is the meeting place for friends and family. Though our home is in a small town, it is close enough to large cities to enjoy cultural and special events.
Now that our son is a terrific two-year-old, we believe it is time to help our family grow. We want Levi to be as much a part of the adoption experience as possible. His adoption was such an incredible adventure for us and being a parent to him has been the single most satisfying, not to mention rewarding, experience of our lives. We thank our son's Birthmother often for blessing our lives with the gift of him.
Thank you for taking time to read about our family. We would be thrilled to learn more about you. We also wish you the best in making the decision that is right for you and your baby.
Sincerely,
AmySue, Mike and Levi
